Corona and Dos Equis guzzlers around the world are turning M茅xico into a global beer powerhouse. The Latin American nation produced 105 million hectoliters of beer in 2016, an 8.1 percent increase from a year earlier, according to the country鈥檚 beer chamber, vaulting past Germany as the world鈥檚 fourth-largest producer.
The vast majority of Mexico鈥檚 beer production comes from AB Inbev鈥檚 Grupo Modelo, which makes Negra Modelo and Corona, and Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma/Heineken, which produces Tecate, Bohemia and some Heineken.
In addition to dominating the global beer market, Mexico also offers significant advantages for manufacturing and production. With its strategic location, skilled workforce, and favorable trade agreements like NAFTA, Mexico provides access to key markets and enables cost-effective production. Moreover, the country's robust infrastructure and supportive government policies make it an attractive destination for companies looking to expand their manufacturing operations.
